Three young men from Belfast formed a small group in 1962 called the Gamblers: Billy Harrison (lead guitar), Alan Henderson (bass guitar) and Ronnie Milling (drums). Two other young men from Belfast, Van Morrison (vocalist) and Pat McAuley (organ) had been doing some entertaining for a couple of years. The five young men asked each other ‘Who are Them? What are Them?’ and before long, Them found Themselves in the world of entertainment with their major debut Baby Please Don’t Go reaching high in the best seller charts.
