  • The Beatles cut nearly 300 songs for the BBC, the vast majority during 1963 when they were recording shows on an almost weekly basis. This hectic schedule slowed down somewhat the following year but they still managed to fit in ten shows in 1964. Their swansong programme, titled The Beatles Invite You To Take A Ticket To Ride, was recorded on May 26, 1965 at the Piccadilly Theatre and hosted by Denny Piercy; also on the show were The Lorne Gibson Trio, The Hellions, The Hollies and The Ivy League. • 1971 was very successful for the Faces, and this LP is our first selection of high quality broadcast material recorded that year. Five songs from a John Peel live radio concert are combined with a brace of appearances on the Top Of The Pops TV programme. You can hear the variety in the band’s live set, ranging from a stomping cover of (I Know) I’m Losing You through to Ronnie Lane’s solo acoustic version of Richmond. Comes with full sleeve notes and recording details. R&B91

  • R&B83 Three of the hottest properties in rock’n’roll as the 70s dawned were David Crosby, Graham Nash and Neil Young and this LP compiles high quality versions of their various 1970 television appearances.  Eight tracks are included from Crosby and Nash's BBC In Concert programme, a combination of well-known songs and then-unreleased material. An acoustic Neil Young plays a similar mix of well-known and obscure tracks in a fine seven song set recorded for TV in San Francisco. Full sleeve notes included.

  • By the time the Yardbirds recorded the tracks on this LP they were no longer simply “most blueswailing” but were also recording catchy and successful pop songs. New lead guitarist Jeff Beck is in fine form over 15 live performances, none of which have been previously released. A rare cover image and detailed sleeve notes complete this package. Side One contains recordings from Ready Steady Go. Side Two has tracks from US and European TV networks.
